Actors:

Luke Barcock

We decided on our main protagonist to be Luke Barcock - a fellow Media Studies student - for a few different reasons. For example, he's a fairly tall individual and he has a mature look about him but not too mature which meant we could go with the idea that this criminal isn't your usual stereotype which creates an air of mystery. He also has a motorbike license which meant that we could have him drive off; this was significantly easier than getting an adult to work with us as all of our parents and/or adult friends & acquaintances worked odd times whereas Luke's spare time coinsided nicely with our own. Obviously, this meant that we could really prepare to film almost any day really. Also, using a student that has a license of any kind meant that we could get him to bring out his bike anytime with ease too whereas an adult might have trouble or might have second thoughts about bringing their cars out.

Not only was his appearance and spare time useful but also his experience with the subject. Luke has previously studied Media Studies and could offer us helpful advice about which camera shots would be better at what points in our film as well as assist us with any editing and/or camera issues we'd stumble across.

Jordan Dunkley

We decided on our other actor to be our friend and also classmate Jordan Dunkley. This was for a few different reasons again. In terms of overall appearance, Jordan looks quite stern and can make himself look fairly villainous when he puts on a serious face. He's fairly tall which adds to the intimidation factor too. His voice also happens to be quite deep which gave us an opportunity for a mysterious yet threatening dialogue to be used had we decided to use it extensively; we decided, however, to settle for the one line as it further consolidated the air of mystery around the two characters. It was also obviously fairly useful to keep in theme with our cast being student-based as it meant filming was always available most days due to our spare time always matching up.
